When we moved in, our house had a nice hardscaped backyard, but they used an existing fence as a retaining wall for new planting beds and a water feature. That worked for some years until we were the ones who had to figure out how to get the fence replaced when it inevitably rotted prematurely.
I knew I was in a tough situation because it wasn’t built right in the first place, and old work always takes more care than new work. After getting an astronomical quote from one contractor and wide eyes—followed by ghosting—by another, I thought of Nathan at JOTS and some of the projects they have done in the past at my small business. I wasn’t sure fences were in his wheelhouse, but he had solved some interesting problems.
