Lisa Merchant Johnson has proudly been a part of Johnny On the Spot Services since its inception in June 2004. Lisa is from Newberry, South Carolina and attended Virginia Commonwealth University where she met her husband, Jonathan (Johnny) Johnson.  Lisa serves as our CEO, CFO and President.  These three “hats” and the numerous and significant responsibilities of these positions at JOTS would be impossible for other humans, but Lisa excels in managing and leading the company through all its fiduciary, promotional and advertising initiatives.She is able to do everything she does through 30 years of varied experience in financial management and business leadership. Lisa served as the CFO for Biomet-Holzbach for 14 years where she was responsible for all aspects of accounting and auditing functions.  She led many initiatives to organize, develop, and implement new ideas to make the business more efficient so it was critical for Johnny On The Spot Services to capitalize on these credentials.  Lisa has many certifications to include CICTIThere is rarely, if ever, any time when she isn’t working, however she enjoys travel, art, weightlifting, exercising.  Ultimately however, Lisa and Johnny recently celebrated 37 years of marriage and cherish spending time with their two beautiful daughters and their families. 

Michael Sprague  is entering his third year with Johnny On The Spot Services as Vice President – Operations.  He is originally from Upstate New York, where while being raised on a farm was introduced to the construction trades.  It was in this environment where he learned how to build and fix what seems to be everything.  Through encouragement from his grandfather and teacher, Michael discovered a couple things: 1. He was very good at almost every trade. 2. He loved it.  Michael enlisted in the United States Navy where he served for six years on submarines and then as a construction man.  After leaving the service, Michael began working as a civilian handyman and earned his certification through Aviation Engineering School.  Life circumstances drove Michael back into the construction trade where he has excelled in residential, commercial and industrial construction.  His extensive knowledge and experience in virtually any and every construction scenario makes him invaluable to Johnny On The Spots Services.  When Michael’s brain isn’t being filled with thoughts of construction he enjoys traveling, cooking, family and continuous improvement in all subject areas. 

Samantha (aka – “Sam”) Lyons is in her fifth year with Johnny On The Spot Services.  She graduated from James River High School in 2008 where she went on to earn her Associates Degree in General Studies in 2011 from John Tyler Community College.  Sam is nearing completion of her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Strayer University.  Her professional career began at Kroger Stores where she worked as floor manager, bookkeeper and ultimately Customer Services Manager.  Sam also served as an account consultant at the Virginia Credit Union for four years before accepting an Executive Assistant position at Johnny On The Spot Services.  Her over 18 years of experience and eye for detail merited her promotion to Chief Administrative Officer in 2023.  Sam is IICRC and CICTI certified in water damage restoration and infection control.  When she is not keeping carpenters, cleaners, and peer organized, Sam enjoys many interests: singing Karaoke, hanging out with her three children, going to parks, watching trains, NASCAR, and playing games.  Last, but not least, her love for the Washington Capitals is unmatched… 

Nathan Parker  is in his fourth year at JOTS. He graduated from UVA in 2011 with a Bachelor of Science of Architecture and from Clemson University in 2015 with a Master’s degree in Architecture. His experiences span from working at architectural firms completing drawing sets, consulting customers with their interior design needs, to serving as a project manager for commercial construction.   It is a significant understatement to describe Nathan as “detailed oriented, and this impeccable eye for detail and customer-centered focus made him a perfect fit for our Vice-President of Logistics and Customer Relationship Officer (CRO). He has over 10 years in the construction and related fields. When not at work, Nathan enjoys spending time with family, friends, and his happy dog, Kaia. 

John Kroll is starting his third year with JOTS.  John brings a Master Degree in Education from The College of William & Mary in Williamsburg, VA.  At William & Mary, his degree concentration was in Higher Education Administration.  After having worked various managerial and administrative positions in education, fitness, recreation and hospitality his true interests developed in helping people restore and develop their homes, neighborhoods and community.  He began his career in Water Damage Restoration approximately four years ago and his talent, previous work experiences and analytical ability help him spearhead our Water Damage Restoration Services.  When he is not actively helping solve water damage situations, John enjoys staying active through fitness activities and afterwards being a bookworm… 

Stephen Mutter’s (AKA “Mutter”) career began in 1997 by cleaning up residential job sites every day after school.  From there, Mutter’s career accelerated by his 11th grade year and began working on a framing crew during the day and then attending night school classes. After graduation in ’98, Mutter decided to continue growing in the framing/carpentry world and ran his own framing crew from 2004-2012. His managerial skills became apparent when he ascended from forklift operator to Account Manager at Capitol Granite, where he was tasked with fulfilling all the granite needs for Richmond-area Lowes and Home Depots.  Mutter’s management career ascended even further by moving into a commercial construction Superintendent role until 2018. He owned his own carpentry business from 2018-2022.  Mutter then pursued a role with by Johnny On The Spot Services as Lead Estimator.  He consistently expresses how becoming a JOTS team member has “totally changed my life for the better!” The feeling is mutually shared. 

Steven Richards is entering his sixth year with Johnny On The Spot Services. He is a very talented and knowledgeable tradesman with over 20 years of experience in construction. Steven is an accomplished welder, and his career shifted towards commercial construction where he was elevated into an Assistant Superintendent role. His signature project while in this position was a renovation of an old florist building into 30 apartments in Scott’s Addition. It is very difficult to conceive of a project, repair, or renovation that Steven hasn’t been a part of completing! When Steven isn’t working, he golfs and attends as many concerts as possible. Lastly, when his perpetual motion slows down, he enjoys woodworking, painting, collecting vinyl records and of coursewelding. 

Dagenet Santamaria is a rookie with Johnny On The Spot Services and has been with us for five months. She graduated from J.R. Tucker High School in 2008. Upon graduation, she relocated West where she earned college credits from Pacific University and Oregon State University in Biology, Vertebrate Zoology, Theology, Geology and Spanish. Dagenet’s diverse academic pursuits do not remotely tell her whole story. She possesses 13 years of professional experience in sales, management, payroll and accounting in the grocery and computer software industries. She is currently pursuing her Bookkeeping and Enrolled Agent Certifications. When Dagenet isn’t working, her pursuits include being a musician, painting, embroidering, playing with her children, and winning at Fantasy Football (but not necessarily in that order…) 

Scott Shoppell is beginning his second year with Johnny On The Spot Services as Vice President Human Resources and Operations. Scott is a graduate of the Hall Institute of Technology, IICRC Water Damage Restoration and CAD certified. Scott’s 25+ years of experience in project management, carpentry, construction, customer relations and human resources fosters a creative and efficient mindset within Johnny On The Spot Services. His leadership style and skill in analyzing results ensures the continual and consistent improvement in efficiency, effectiveness, and team-buildingwhich leads to our happy clients. Happy clients are Scott’s priority, and he does that by skillfully communicating, motivating and inspiring the team to achieve excellent and personalized customer experiences. Outside of work, Scott enjoys spending time with his family, which these days includes attending his daughters’ many exciting cross country and track meets. 

Dale Smith is what we regard as one of our “critical structural components” due to her 53 years of customer service, management, and leadership experience. She was born and raised in Chesterfield County and currently lives in Amelia County. Dale is a proud graduate of Clover Hill High School. Dale owned her own gas/grocery/convenience store for 10 years before joining Johnny Johnson at Community Pride Food Stores in 1996. She served as Director of Deli/Bakery Service for eight years before Johnny packed her along with him to pursue the new endeavor known as “Johnny On The Spot Services.” Dale served as a cleaning crew manager and currently serves as Executive Assistant. When she is not working, she enjoys road trips, beaches, on-line video games, and reading. 

Ricardo Garcia is entering his 13th year with Johnny On The Spot Services.  Ricardo’s skills and abilities are numerous as he expertly manages and leads our cleaning, landscaping crews, painting and power washing crews.  Ricardo handles numerous commercial and industrial work orders and is one of the voices declaring: “I am Johnny On The Spot!”  When Ricardo isn’t working, he enjoys spending time with his family. 

Jayrod Robinson is entering his third year with Johnny On The Spot Services. Jayrod possesses 10 years of experience and in carpentry and cleaning services. Recently, the combination of experiences he possesses made him the logical choice to become increasingly involved in our Water Restoration projects. Jayrod is WRT certified and is critically important to our cleaning, power washing, and landscaping efforts. When he is not working, Jayrod enjoys spending time with family, playing video games, listening to music and playing ultimate frisbee. 

Johnnie Scott is entering his sixth year with Johnny On The Spot Services. Previously, he had experience as a power washing tech. Johnnie was initially brought on as general laborer, and he has diligently earned promotions and is currently JOTS Director of Operations. If there is a landscaping, cleaning, or water restoration job, Johnnie has expertly completed it! He is highly regarded for being both a phenomenal crew chief and customer service specialist. When Johnnie isn’t working, he enjoys playing with his kids, video games, and going to the gun range. 

Otis Wilkins is starting his fourth year with Johnny On The Spot Services.  He possesses over 35 years’ experience with his career having started with Philip Morris and Kraft Foods.  Otis operated his own Coverall franchise for 14 years after previously serving as the Quality Assurance Manager for CleanetUSA and Operations Manager for two years with the City of Richmond.  He is a huge asset to Johnny On The Spot Services with his depth and breadth of cleaning experience.  There isn’t a floor he hasn’t seen or cleaned.  When Otis isn’t working, he is an avid swimmer and weight lifter.  He also enjoys reading philosophy and history.
